- WHERE DOES A YEAR GO? Since the last update, VCW had its last supershow,
we've put out a whole new season of episodes, and we've been wrestling more
frequently than we have since 2011 thanks to 3-2-1 Battle, where two VCW members
have now held titles there for extended periods of time, and a whole bunch of
other stuff too. So here's our dilemma: the episodes are WAY behind real time.
The plan is to catch up, but right now we're a year behind. So the way we're
going to reconcile things for the time being is as follows: if you want to JUST
follow along with the episodes, just stick to the multimedia and you'll be fine.
If you want CURRENT real time results, champions, etc., we're going to have
those in their respective sections, so stay away from them if you don't want to
be spoiled. So that said, we are 100% current with
Results, Win/Loss Records, and
Title History. Other random areas which had gone
untended like Awards/Tournaments,
Supershows, and Other Info are also up to date. The
very out of date bios in the Roster section are now up
to date with all current roster members, including Scott Henson, Daniel Makabe,
SARIAN (formerly Drew Sarian), Kaden Talbain, and the returning "Uncle Muscles"
Allan Jepsen (the former Allan Creasy/Big Al), who has made two recent
appearances at 3-2-1 Battle and plans on more. And of course the biggest update
is to the Multimedia section. We've got all 6 episodes
from the new Season 5 in both Youtube and download form in Episodes, we've got
every on-the-road match from 2013 to 2015 up on Youtube in Full Matches (NYE3,
NYE4, Tennesee, Portland, Beyond Wrestling), as well as all the choice matches
from Season 5 (Henson vs. Makabe 12/6/14, Sarian vs. Talbain 12/6/14, Henson vs.
Chango 3/20/15, Makabe vs. Talbain 3/20/15, and Henson/Talbain vs. Makabe/Sarian
4/18/15), as well as the more recent Henson vs. Makabe 5/13/16. Additionally all
the promos from VVTW10 are up in both Youtube and download form in the Promos
section. So check it out, there's a lot to see. Now let's run down the season,
and get onto the new one.
Episode 501: When last we left our heroes, Big Dick Wrestling Universe 3
had wrapped up at the end of August 2014, Mercury had won all the titles (VCW/ISUXDIX/GBYWN),
and ISUXDIX had become VCW once again. That sort of seemed like the end. Problem
is, we didn't want to stop wrestling. Enter 3-2-1 Battle. They had run two shows
before, one in September 2013 and one in February 2014, but nothing since. Since
those earlier shows, there had been talk of running 3-2-1 once a month, as you
may remember from talk about it in previous updates here, but 9 months after
that last show in February 2014, nothing had happened. Well luckily in December
things came together in a big way, and we are extremely pleased to say that
since December 2014 through to this writing in July 2016, 3-2-1 has had one,
usually two, shows a month every single month. Needless to say, we have a lot of
footage you have yet to see. So the first of many regular shows at 3-2-1 saw
Drew Sarian going for revenge against Kaden Talbain, who had plagued him the
past two VCW supershows: cheating to beat Sarian for the ISUXDIX Title at BDWU2
in 2013 and costing Sarian the win in the finals of the triple title tournament
at BDWU3 in 2014. So Sarian, with something to prove, scored the win over
Talbain by reversing a Darkness Buster attempt into a sunset flip type pin. The
rivalry would not end with that, though. And speaking of rivalries, how about
Scott Henson and Daniel Makabe? That's a rivalry. And they continued it on this
show with an excellent match that saw Henson winding up for a lariat that would
surely finish the match, only to be quickly dropkicked in that arm by Makabe,
followed by an Armtrap German Suplex for the win.
Episode 502: January 2015 saw Zeus McFly make his first and thus far only
appearance in 3-2-1, taking on Daniel Makabe in a losing effort after falling
victim to the Armtrap German Suplex. Scott Henson also took on The Bird, a
bird-type character who also constantly flips people the bird, winning with the
Burning Bright. This trip also saw the Henson/Makabe/McFly trio travel to SCW
Reloaded in Bremerton, WA, where Zeus took on local luchador Sonico, tapping out
to a Double Armbar, and Henson and Makabe were forced to team together against
hometown legends Beast Mode of Ron Von Hess and Edzel Mendoza, with Makabe
taking the pin via a Flying Elbow from Von Hess.
Episode 503: In February 2015 we saw a rematch of the great tag match
from February 2014 in 3-2-1 as Fur & Loathing of Scott Henson and Kaden Talbain
took on the Rain City Coalition of Daniel Makabe and Drew Sarian, again for Fur
& Loathing's Tag Titles that they won way back at BDWU1 in September 2012. Fur &
Loathing got the win and retained the titles after two Brainbusters in a row by
Talbain on Makabe, thus avenging their singles losses to Makabe and Sarian the
month before.
Episode 504: In March 2015, coming off Feburary's tag, Daniel Makabe
looked to re-avenge his loss to Kaden Talbain in a singles match between the
two. He did just that after an impressive series of reversals leading to the
Jorge Clutch. Post-match, Scott Henson ran in Fur & Loathing laid the boots to
Makabe until Drew Sarian made the save. The two teams argued on the mic, with
F&L claiming that RCC couldn't beat them in a tag, based on their tag title
matches the past two Februaries (can you pluralize a month?), while RCC argued
they had done nothing but beat F&L in singles matches the past several months. A
challenge was made for one more Tag Title match in a no-rules Seattle Street
Fight for Battlemania in April. Also on the show, Scott Henson took on 3-2-1's
ace, El Chango Blanco, in the first big-time VCW vs. 3-2-1 match, with the match
going to a no contest, and Drew Sarian picked up a big win over Simba Six-Killer
with a Cradle Piledriver.
Episode 505: A one-match episode and a good one. This was 3-2-1
Battlemania 2015 and the Seattle Street Fight for the VCW Partners United Solid
& Strong Yearning For A Rumble Tonight Titles with Fur & Loathing defending
against the Rain City Coalition of Daniel Makabe and Drew Sarian. It should be
noted that Sarian went INTO this match with a fairly serious back injury, and
this was not helped when Henson put him through a table with a You Sunk My
Battleship off the apron. Sarian was later diagnosed with a slipped disc in his
back, but this did not stop him from gutting out the rest of the match, and
catching Kaden Talbain in a Tiger Tamer, while Daniel Makabe also had Scott
Henson in the Jim Breaks Armbar with the assistance of a chain, eventually
resulting in a double tap-out by Fur & Loathing, ending their two and a half
year reign as champions and making RCC only the second ever tag champions. No
need to go through all the crazy goings-on in this match (including Henson
falling victim to another Trapper Keeper through 6 open chairs shades of 2012,
and a Shibata corner dropkick through a table by Sarian on Talbain that must be
seen to be believed), just watch the thing.
Episode 506: So the last and final episode happened sort of concurrently
with the rest of the season. This episode covered VCW's year-long involvement
with VBW (in their 3rd season) in Maple Ridge, BC, and all the matches VCW
members had there from May 2014 through May 2015. No need to go through all 10
matches, but the main feud that emerged out of everything was "Big Cat" Scott
Henson and Eric Cage, culminating in a grudge match between the two, arguably 12
years in the making, at their supershow in May 2015 with Cage coming out the
victor after several Rock Bottoms. VBW has started up Season 4 now and we look
forward to doing more with them.
Other: In goings-on not covered in the episodes, Mercury travelled to
Allentown, PA, for BXW's final show, "Goodbye", in November 2014. He held onto
his unified VCW/ISUXDIX World Title, but ended up losing the GBYWN World Title
to Henry Rotten, who (spoiler) makes an appearance with the belt in Season 6 on
VVTW10. Later that November, Scott Henson travelled to Beyond Wrestling for his
once-every-two-years appearance. He wrestled Buxx Belmar and Pinkie Sanchez over
the two days he was there, on shows that included the Young Bucks, Eddie
Edwards, Chuck Taylor, Brian Cage, Trevor Lee, Biff Busick, Drew Gulak,
Speedball Mike Bailey, and a
number of other big names. In February 2015, Scott Henson also travelled to
Portland with VCW alumnus Nick Price to compete in WCWC. Henson lost a singles
match to Ashton Vuitton, and Henson and Price tagged together as the Van City
Warriors (or VCW... GET IT??), getting 1 win and 1 loss against the Shadows and
Amerikan Guns (Ethan HD & Mike Santiago), respectively.
Season 6: Season 5 was 6 episodes. It seems only logical that Season 6
should be TWENTY, no? Well it is. It will cover from the show after Battlemania
2015 up to and including Battlemania 2016, which will bring us up to April this
year. So we will, eventually, get caught up.
Season 7: Seeing as Season 6 takes us to Battlemania 2016 (April), and
it's July now, you're right to assume we've already filmed several shows for
Season 7 as well. One match that bears mentioning immediately is SARIAN taking
on "Mr. Athletic" Jeff Cobb a.k.a. Matanza a.k.a. the current (on TV) Lucha
Underground Champion, only a few days ago at the July 15th 3-2-1 show. SARIAN put in
a valiant effort in a great match but fell to the awesome Tour of the Islands.
Expect a full match uploaded soon, as was done with Henson vs. Makabe from May.
- That's it for now. Here's to some more regular updates.
<8/4/15 @ 8:52 PM PST>
- It is EXACTLY one month until our last supershow ever.
<7/1/15 @ 7:23 PM PST>
- IT'S CANADA DAY. 2015. Know what happened FIFTEEN YEARS AGO TODAY? VCW
had its first show. And just barely over two months from now, it will have its
last. September 4th & 5th we present VCW vs. The World 10: Supercard 2: The Last
One. Be there.
- Where the hell does 7 months ago? It's ridiculous that it's been that long
since an update. You'd think we were lying dormant, but quite the opposite is
true. We've been more active as a group between these last two updates than
we've been since ISUXDIX was running regularly into early 2012. This is thanks largely in
part to 3-2-1 Battle, which has been running monthly shows every month since
December of last year, and we've been on most of them. We've got 6 episodes
worth of footage for Season 5; we just need to do a bit of post-production and
we'll start cranking them out, hopefully to coincide with our aforementioned
supershow. If you want to spoil yourself on everything that's gone down and
don't want to wait for the media, you can check out the Results section which
lists everything that's happened and what you can look forward to in visual form
soon. You can also spoil yourself in the Title History section (which,
logically, would mean there's been a title change I would guess?) if you so
choose. So bottom line, hang tight, lots of media and our LAST EVER SUPERSHOW on
the way. Love you.
