- HEY~! You probably want some news. Well, fine. VCW vs. The World 2: A Lesser
Extent was described by many as "the best weekend of the life" and with good
reason. For results, see the Results and/or Supershow sections. For comments,

- So that's taken care of. What else happened? Well, on April 9, CJ Williams
made his official VCW in-ring debut, after interfering in Dokta Kron's debut the
week prior. He took on Big Al and won by DQ due to Al striking the referee. This
kafuffle turned into a brouhaha, and possibly even a full-out hullabaloo, when
Ruckus and J-Nox ran in on their partners behalves. The two teams would battle
two weeks later. J-Nox, now in an official match, defeated Dokta Kron with his
killer Shock & Awe sitdown brainbuster. Ruckus took on Drew Sarian, in a match
where Sarian got excessively silly, culminating in a Bubba Bomb by Sarian,
infuriating Ruckus to the point where he pounded the mat and shouted the
immortal line, "NO MORE SILLIES!" Ruckus made short work of Sarian after that,
yanking his shirt over his face and stating, quite literally, "You can't see
me," before giving Sarian a DVD for the win. Next, Special K got the biggest win
of his career, as he defeated Yakuza J, using a very smart gameplan of working
Yakuza's arm the whole match, avoiding Yakuza's high-grade offense, and finishing
with a wakigatame armbar. The main event was scheduled to be Scott Henson vs.
Nick Price in the finals of the Round Robin, as both had gone undefeated in
their blocks on 3/26/06. As they were about to start, Daniel Makabe made his way
to the ring, claiming he was cashing in his "Birthday in the Bank" (which was
later found to be fictional), and challenging the two to a Dogfight. Nick Price
got the win in the Dogfight, via a Henson-assisted countout win over Makabe and
an out of nowhere Oma Plata on Henson, making Nick Price the winner of the Round
Robin and recipient of the prize, a delicious Big Turk candy bar. This Dogfight
win reignited the Dogfight spark in Nick, and he challenged his old Dogfight
Rivals, Big Al and Ruckus to a Dogfight for the Canadian Title at the 4 Year
Wrestleplex Anniversary on April 30. In the past, though, Ruckus and Al weren't
tag partners, so Nick may have put himself at quite a disadvantage. Also
stemming from this match, the world is
very much due for a Nick Price/Scott Henson singles match, as their last one
went to a 15 minute draw, and they didn't get to have one this night. They'll
have to do one sometime, but whether it will be for Price's title, Henson's
title, both, or neither remains to be seen. On April 22, Ruckus and "Greasy"
Allan Creasy (having lost the Big Al moniker to Big Al 201 at VVTW2) took on CJ
Williams and J-Nox, in the match set up two weeks prior. As CJ got Ruckus in the
Stretch Muffler Crab, Allan threw in the towel, some would say prematurely,
causing his team to lose. Post-match, when Ruckus confronted him about it, Allan
attacked Ruckus and hit him with the Fraser Valley Driver. So with the newfound
animosity between these two, perhaps Nick Price was no longer at a disadvantage
going into the Canadian Title Dogfight against the two of them the next week.
Also on the card, Drew Sarian bounced back from his loss at the last show, and
defeated Special K with a crazy Headspike Bulldog. The main event saw Daniel
Makabe, Nick Price, and Mercury take on Scott Henson, Yakuza J, and Special K.
In perhaps the most action-packed 12 minutes of wrestling ever, the finish came
after a long sequence of moves by all 6 men, concluding with Mercury wacking
Scott Henson with a piece of table, dazing him and allowing Daniel Makabe to
move in and capitalize with a German Suplex Hold, the same move that scored him
a fall on Henson in the Dogfight on April 9, thus making it two straight times
Makabe has beaten Henson with that move. These two were the main event of the 4
Year Wrestleplex Anniversary Show, as Henson defended the Triple Crown against
Makabe. Not surprisingly, Makabe's plan of attack was the German Suplex Hold, as
he knew Henson could be beaten with it. A wrench was thrown into Makabe's plan,
however, when he went for a punch on Henson on the outside, and Henson moved
causing Makabe to punch the ring post full force. Henson went right to work on
Makabe's hand and arm, hoping to neutralize his ability to perform the German
Suplex. Makabe fought back and with some struggle was actually able to hit the
German Suplex Hold, but this time Henson kicked out, knowing this was when it
counted most. After a flurry of offense by Henson, he locked in a wakigatame on
Makabe and grabbed his hand, twisting his injured fingers and knuckles, which
was just enough to get the submission victory. Also on the card, Yakuza J
participated in his first ever Wrestleplex Anniversary show (he had always been
in New York previous years), and to make up for the four shows he had missed,
plus this show, he agreed to take on 5 opponents in the Yakuza J Challenge
Series. First was Drew Sarian. Running Punch. Over. Next was both members of the
New New Midnight Express, Ryan Rage and Tiger J. Powerbomb and Running Punch.
Over. Next was "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, out for an arm wrestling match. Short
sentence which indicates Yakuza winning the arm wrestling match. Over. But
opponent #5 proved to be too much, as "The Droogeyman" was too much both
mentally and physically for Yakuza, and he submitted to a bunch of Gummi Worms
in the mouth. CJ Williams continued his undefeated streak in VCW, with a win
over Mercury. Special got another huge high-profile win coming off his win
against Yakuza J a few weeks earlier, this time against Lenny D, as he busted
out the new Jaws of Fenrir (a cross-legged Darkness Buster), catching Lenny
offguard for the win. Two members of California's BWA, Seth Cage and Damian
Black, made the 11-hour drive up to VCW to take on Zeus McFly and Kingpin in an
elimination tag. Lots of crazy shit here, with Kingpin, being the first gone,
but minutes later causing Damian Black to be pinned as well. This left Zeus
McFly and Seth Cage, who did awful things to each other, ending up with Cage
giving McFly an Exploder on the outside through a table covered with every sharp
thing in the building, giving BWA the win. It should be noted that the massive
Damian Black is a power chucker the likes of which would make Doug Furnas cry.
The semi-main was the rematch of one year prior, as Nick Price, Ruckus, and
"Greasy" Allan Creasy went at it in a Dogfight, but this time for the Canadian
Title. Late in the match, Price got a fall over Creasy with the Border City
Stretch, and just needed a win over Ruckus to retain his title. However, Ruckus
and Allan seemed to resolve their differences, and teamed together to attack
Nick Price, causing the DQ. So Nick retained, but came out the worse for wear at
the end of the match. The Fabulous Newton Boys, now back together (or perhaps
together all along) have challenged Nick Price and a partner of his choice to a
tag match on an upcoming show. On May 7, much silliness transpired. Scott
Henson, Yakuza J, and Nick Price had a 3 Way of epic ridiculousness, CJ Williams
killed Special K with a twisting Tomikaze, Daniel Makabe destroyed any chance he
had of having children against Drew Sarian, and Zeus McFly spit in J-Nox's
mouth. All show recaps from here on will be confined to one sentence.
