- So, we had our 11th (11th!) supershow at ASW's Wrestleplex on Friday the 30th. The Pistol Pete Backyard Countdown commenced with a win over Chris Mason. One more backyard match, and Pete's off to the pros. Next up, Jason Drake defeated rival Psychotic Kid with the Whattamaneuver to retain the VCW Canadian Title. "Insane" Shane Mondo made his return against Yakuza J in a UWFv Rules Match (KO's and Submissions only). Yakuza got the duke with a High Kick that knocked Mondo THE FUCK OUT! Lenny D and Chris Mason put on a great show, with Mason getting the big win after a SICK Shooting Star Footstomp and a big Shotei. The main event was scheduled to be a rematch from last month, with "Hot Shit" Scott Henson defending the VCW Triple Crown against Daniel Makabe in a No-DQ match. However, seconds into the match, Lenny D ran down and demanded to be involved in the match. Scott said that 3 Ways suck as a rule, so we should make it a tag match where we get to pick our partners. Scott chose Yazkua J, and Daniel Makabe chose the last person to pin Scott Henson, Chris Mason. Then Jason Drake and Psychotic Kid ran down and demanded to be involved too. Scott said they should team together (which they agreed to), which left Lenny D without a partner. Lenny didn't care, and was more than willing to go the match alone. After a "ridiculous display of spots" (copyright ROH on that one), Daniel got the pin on "Hot Shit" Scott Henson with a huge Top Rope Senton (which he hit for the first time ever).
- The link to the "Old Skool" Music Video in the Multimedia is now fixed. Apparently, it was down for quite some time, unbeknownst to us.
- Our next show will most likely be Saturday June 7th, where we will have the second half of the Round Robin that began on May 28th.

- Yo! We had a show today (yesterday, if you want to be a bitch about it). We had the first half of a Round Robin that will determine the participants in the V-1 Tag Climax. The six participants in the round robin (Lenny D, Yakuza J, Scott Henson, Psychotic Kid, Chris Mason, & Jason Drake) will determine three of the teams in the V-1; the fourth will be Daniel Makabe & Jimmy McGimmick. When the round robin is complete, whoever comes in first will team with whomever comes in sixth, second will pair with fifth, and third will pair with fourth. In the event of a tie after the round robin is over, a match will take place to determine final placing. In the first half today, Scott Henson & Chris Mason went to 10 minute Time Limit Draw, Lenny D beat Psychotic Kid with his new Darkness Dust (Inverted DVD), Jason Drake shocked the world by pinning Yakuza J in under 10 seconds, Lenny D beat Chris Mason with the Darkness Dust, Scott Henson beat Jason Drake with the Crossface of SCOTT, Psychotic Kid beat Yakuza J with a Superkick, and Jason Drake beat Chris Mason with a Pedigree. 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. Here are the standings at the half way point:
Lenny D - 4
Jason Drake - 4
Scott Henson - 3
Psychotic Kid - 2
Chris Mason - 1
Yakuza J - 0
The remainder of the matches will take place at our next show at Aubrey Hall, which will be sometime next week. But now our thoughts turn to VCW's eleventh supershow at ASW's Wrestleplex. It will be Friday, May 30th, at 8:30 p.m. For the card, check the Supershow or Events cection. Word life.

- We were going to have an event on Saturday the 24th, but it got rained out. To make up for it, we'll be doing a show on Wednesday the 28th. It will be aptly named "Humpday."
- FINALLY, all the match times are up in the Results section. Check 'em out.

- Hey! We had a show! It was great! Hoorah! On Saturday, May 17th, VCW held "Navigation With Breeze," which was definitely our best show to date at our new ring, and one of our better shows overall. First up was Jimmy McGimmick taking on Christian Drake. Christian put up a good fight, but Jimmy proved too powerful, getting the duke with a jujigatame. Then Jason Drake took on the RETURNING~! Psychotic Kid for the VCW Canadian Title. Kid had Jason locked up in a Crossface when Chris Mason distracted the ref, allowing Jason to low-blow his way out of the hold and hit the incredibly cool-looking Twisting Sleeper Driver to retain his title. Then VCW Triple Crown Champion Scott Henson took on Chris Mason in a non-title match, as he deemed Mason "unworthy" of a title shot. It was back and forth throughout, with some nice moves on both sides, but in the end, Chris Mason flipped out (literally), hitting two consecutive Red Star Presses and a Red Star Senton for the upset win. Lucky for Henson that the title wasn't on the line, but you have to believe that Mason is the top contender for the title now, with a clean win over the champion. In the main, we saw the RETURNING~! Yakuza J take on the RETURNING~! Lenny D in a match with some high stakes. How high, you ask? How about not one, but TWO Caramilk bars? Yeah, pretty high. Yakuza started off big with a huge German Suplex that dumped Lenny on his head. Then the two took it to the mat for a while, exchanging various holds. After much back-and-forth action, Yakuza eventually got the big win (and the chocolate bars that the win entailed) with the wacky Kenka Combo III (two powerbombs into a Fire Thunder). Anyway, very good show top to bottom. We hope to keep it up next week: same VCDub time, same VCDub channel.

- As you can tell by the lack of updatage, we did NOT have a show on the 12th. We got nearly the entire roster there, and then realised we didn't have a camera. We drove to Surrey to get a camera, but that camera had no battery. Then we drove to Vancouver to get the original camera that was forgotten, and by the time we got back it was almost dark. Anyway, we will hopefully make up for that show this Saturday, May 17th. The main event will be the returning LENNY D~! taking on the returning YAKUZA J~! Jimmy McGimmick & Daniel Makabe will continue their newfound feud, as they go at it a second time. Makabe hopes to avenge his previous loss. Also, the brothers Drake (Christian & Jason) will duke it out with Chris Mason as the special referee. Look for Triple Crown Champion "Hot Shit" Scott Henson and possibly "Insane" Shane Mondo to be on the card as well. Finally, rumor has it that Psychotic Kid (remember him?) is trying to make the trek back from Calgary.

- We continued our string of fun little shows at our ring yesterday. It appears a new tag team has emerged from this show: "Hot Shit" Scott Henson & "Insane" Shane Mondo. They ran in after Jason Drake had defeated Chris Mason and beat down both men. They went on to claim that they were "the top tag team in VCW" and that they would "rock you like a hurricane." They defeated Chris Mason & Jason Drake in a tag match under dubious circumstances, as Shane Mondo pinned what was later revealed to be the illegal man in the match. Also on the card was Jimmy McGimmick defeating Daniel Makabe with a jujigatame in a good match. The Results & Win/Loss Records have been updated, and we swear those match times are coming soon.

<5/3/03 @ 5:51 PM PST>

- A new interview is up with EBW Superstar PesT. It is entitled "Breakfast with PesT", and was conducted about a month ago by unofficial VCW Road Agent Daniel Makabe. Sorry about taking so long to put it up. It's a good read; PesT is very outspoken and has a LOT to say. *Note: the views expressed in this interview do not necessarily reflect the views of VCW or its members*

<5/2/03 @ 3:07 AM PST>

- The complete main event (Scott Henson vs. Daniel Makabe) from the 1 Year Anniversary Show is now up in the Media section (at the bottom, under "Full Matches"). The consensus seems to be that it's one of the better VCW matches that's out there, so check it out. Plus, it's got COMMENTARY~!

<5/1/03 @ 4:21 AM PST>

- Well, the 1 Year Wrestleplex Anniversary is now behind us. As the date approached, we started becoming worried, because more and more people were unable to make it, and we feared we'd have to cancel the show. Nevertheless, we ran the show, and we're glad we did. Somehow, it turned out great, and it really did have that "big show" atmosphere (for a backyard fed). Jason Drake (formerly HeXX) made his return from a broken collarbone injury that put him out for over 9 months! Considering that, he really hasn't lost a step. In fact, he got his first (and second) win(s) ever in VCW. AND, those two wins were enough to get him the VCW Canadian Title in a Round Robin against Christian Drake & champion Chris Mason. In the opening promo, Triple Crown Champion "Hot Shit" Scott Henson said that Daniel Makabe will have to prove himself in order to get a title shot. Scott brought out his hired mercenary from Outer Mongolia, Red Wolf (who may or may not be a relation to NJPW's Blue Wolf). Makabe would have to beat Red Wolf in order to get his title shot... and he did. Makabe made him tap to the old standby, the Makabe Lock. Also on the card was ASW wrestler Zeus McFly taking on his old nemesis, Dr. Unk in a Falls-Count-Anywhere match. We're not going to talk about that match. Suffice it to say, it made everyone sad. Then we had an interpromotional DREAM MATCH~! featuring VBW's monster, Raptus, taking on ASW's monster, The Troll. The match went back and forth, until the owner and former Heavyweight Champion of ASW, Fabulous Fabio ran in, along with former ASW Light Heavyweight Champion, The Kamikaze Kid, and several other wrestlers, and beat down both men (especially Troll). Troll's manager/fiancée, Anna tried to stop the carnage. Big mistake. She was given a PILEDRIVER~! by Fabio for her troubles. And then, in one of the greatest moments in VCW history, The Troll's mother entered the ring, and while Fabio & Kamikaze held Troll up, his own mother chopped him repeatedly, all the while calling him a "disgrace to the family." It was surreal. In the main event, "Hot Shit" Scott Henson retained the VCW Triple Crown in one of his hardest-fought battles against Daniel Makabe. Both men dished out and took a LOT of punishment, including a Buckle German Suplex, a Dangerous German Suplex, and a Top-rope Blue Thunder. The story of this match was Henson's Crippler Crossface vs. Makabe's Makabe Lock. Both hold were applied several times, but the recipients were able to get to the ropes. At the end, Henson locked on the Crossface in the middle of the ring. Makabe kept fighting it and breaking it, so Henson FLIPPED OUT and murdered Makabe's shoulder with forearms, and then applied the never-before-seen Crippler Crossface Chickenwing and absolutely torqued it, resulting in the tapout.
- Special thanks to EBW's PesT, VBW's Scott Idol, ASW's Tommy Stripes, and Edmonton's Simon Speichert for refereeing and camerawork.
- The Title Histories, Win/Loss Records, and Results (except for match times) are completely updated. The match times should be up in a couple of days.
- Our next show will likely be Sunday, May 4. We even have a title ("VCW: Navigation with Breeze") and a main event (Daniel Makabe & Chris Mason vs. "Hot Shit" Scott Henson & the returning (finally) Lenny D). NUT~!
