- VCW has returned from Ohio in one piece. The two-day event event of HWF Hardcore Halloween 6 was squished into one day, due to heavy rain on the Saturday. Nevertheless, the Sunday was awesome. Scott Henson participated in a "Backyard Legends" Round Robin, also featuring Overhaul (from Ohio) and Trevor Lee (from Tennessee) - quite the international grouping. In the first match, Overhaul defeated Trevor Lee with the Truckstop. In the second match, Scott Henson stepped into an HWF ring for the first time since taking on Russell Myers in the main event of Backyard Fest 7. He would be taking on Overhaul, in Overhaul's second match of the night, and what we would find out would be his final backyard match. The two big men exchanged massive blows and power moves, and the crowd thought it was over when Overhaul hit the Big Truck Driver on Henson, but Henson kicked out. Overhaul hit the Truckstop, the move he used to beat Trevor Lee, and then went to the top for the 2.5 Star Splash. Henson dodged it at the last second and KILLED Overhaul with the CRITICAL! for the victory. In the third and final match of the Round Robin, Scott Henson returned to take on Trevor Lee. If Henson won the match, he would go 2-0 and win the Round Robin. If Lee won, everyone would go 1-1 and it would be a three way tie. Henson and Lee went all out in efforts to win this match, with the match even spilling outside, where Lee hit a Top-to-floor Elbow and a KILLER Apron 450. Back in the ring, Henson hit a DVD-to-Frosion variation of You Sunk My Battleship, delayed slightly in making the cover, and Trevor Lee was somehow, some way able to kick out. Henson went to finish off Lee with the CRITICAL! like he did Overhaul, but Lee blocked it and hit a HUGE Lariat of his own. Trevor then dusted off the Running Shooting Star Press (a move he actually retired quite some time ago) and got the win. So Scott Henson, Trevor Lee, and Overhaul all tie in the "Backyard Legends" Round Robin. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. The main event of the last HWF show ever saw Yakuza J and SHIRTLESS~! Daniel Makabe representing VCW vs. Matt Schalk & Nick Thorne (GEW) vs. Steve Shilson & Matt Given (WSW). With the HTTC vs. Crash vs. Billy Taylor vs. LK2000 Ladder Match scrapped, these guys had to make the main event count. And indeed they did. These six went crazy in a single elimination 3 Way Tag. Roughly 10 tables were broken by the time all was said and done. Yakuza J took 3 murderous suplexes from Matt Schalk & Matt Given. Daniel Makabe took an Apron Cobra Clutch Suplex through a table. Steve Shilson took a Trapper Keeper Bomb from Daniel Makabe off the second rope to the floor through a table. Matt Schalk took a Canadian Destroyer from Steve Shilson off the top through a table. And of course Matt Given, Nick Thorne, and Daniel Makabe put Yakuza J, Steve Shilson, and Nick Thorne through tables with a Top Rope Footstomp, Top Rope Elbow, and Senton off the entrance cage, respectively. The end came when it was down to Makabe, Schalk, & Shilson. Makabe hit a quick 19 Years Old on Shilson, and then hit a Tiger Suplex directly into a Makabe Lock, causing Schalk to land in pinning position on Shilson. This actually got the pinfall, and Schalk tapped out to the Makabe Lock one second later, giving Makabe and VCW the big win in the last match (most likely) to be held at the TDM Grand Arena. Thanks to HWF for having us for the second time, and congratulations on 6 years of greatness.
- Bunch more multimedia for you bitches. Hi~Ki's second guest music vid is up, and this time it covers VCW's two trips to LWO in August and September. The Rick James Memorial Weekend Day 2 video is also up now.

- Rained out for the second straight week. Bastards. Weather bastards. Most likely no show this weekend due to Scott Henson & Daniel Makabe returning to Ohio to participate in HWF's final show. The following weekend, October 31 to be exact, will be VCW's first (and maybe only) deathmatch tournament, entitled Death Hell. Check the Events section for all the fucked up shit we're doing.
- Got some new media up, too. Yakuza J vs. J Spyder from the Backyard Experience (10/2/04) in Rhode Island is now up, as is the music video for Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal (9/26/04), featuring the Makabe/Psychotic Kid Ladder Match and Chris Mason vs. Lenny D for the Triple Crown.

<10/15/04 @ 3:42 AM PST>

- No show this past weekend due to UGLY weather. Hopefully we'll make up for it this Sunday. Triple Crown Champion Lenny D is out of action (due to the Vertebreaker he received from Chris Mason) until our Halloween show. Speaking of the Halloween show, looks like the first ever VCW Deathmatch Tournament is going to come to fruition. Should be crazy.
- The V-1 Tag Tournament is off until at least November, due to the fact there will be no Lenny D, and the fact that the Washington boys can't seem to make it up here.
- Over the weekend of October 2/3, Yakuza J participated in the 1st Annual Backyard Experience event, presented by [xRw] in Rhode Island. On Day 1 of the event, Yakuza went through CWA's Omega, CWA's Mike Wyld, and UWA's J Spyder to win the Best Backyard Wrestler in the History of Existence Tournament. The full match of Yakuza vs. Omega is up in the multimedia section. Hopefully Yakuza vs. J Spyder will be up sometime soon too.
- Scott Henson, Daniel Makabe, and Yakuza J are heading back to HWF in Ohio next weekend (October 23/24) for what looks to be HWF's last show ever. Day 1 will see Scott Henson taking on backyard legend Trevor Lee, as well as Daniel Makabe & Yakuza J vs. Nick Thorne & Matt Schalk vs. Steve Shilson & Matt Given in a 3 Way Tag. Day 2 will have an 8-team tag tournament where each team will consist of a Canadian and an American.
