- Hot damn, we had a show. Without having to drive 3 hours either. Our ring is
back at a semi-permanent location, so expect us to be back to weekly shows, for
the most part. The new arena will be known as Strong Badia, due to the fact that
it has an awesome tire swing. All we need is a stop sign indicating "Population:
tire" and we're good to go. The show kicked off with Scott Henson informing
Chris Mason of the man he must get past in order to hold the Triple Crown for
one year: Lenny D, who was FINALLY claiming his title shot after being #1
contender for 9 months. Lenny D attacked Mason from behind with an apple... and
then ate the apple, all the while yelling something about being a "hungry man."
The first match was Mercury taking on fellow young lion Nick Price in what was
probably the best match of either's young career up to this point. Dice got his
first big singles win with a new move that he calls Role of "The Dice" (think
Jonny Storm's Side Half-Nelson Driver) off the ropes. Next up was a double debut
match, with Jacob Myles taking on Big Al. Jacob missed a beautiful Essa
Rios-looking Moonsault, and eventually Big Al got the win with a Full Nelson
Wheelbarrow submission (which was dubbed Kama Sutra #352) into an inverted
powerbomb. Both guys looked good for their first time out, and we hope to have
them back. Zeus McFly then took on Jimmy McGimmick. Jimmy busted out some new
and old moves, including a flying jujigatame and a Ligerbomb, respectively.
Jimmy also debuted the Caber Toss (think of the move Benoit broke Sabu's neck
with). McFly stood toe-to-toe with McGimmick when they were trading strikes, but
Merc was able to grab Zeus's leg and manipulate it such that he was making McFly
repeatedly kick himself in the junk. Jimmy transitioned this into an Ankle Lock,
and that was all she wrote. Ruckus then took on Red Money, in what has been
somewhat of an escalating feud between Dazed & Confused and Star Struck. After
Red Money missed the Fitty Bucks (twice), Ruckus was able to put on the
Sharpshooter and get the win. Chris Mason then ran in and SMOKED Ruckus with one
of his patented unsafe kicks to the face. Lenny D and Zeus McFly ran in to help
out Ruckus, but were taken out by the members of Star Struck, including Chris
Mason KILLING Lenny with a Shooting Star Press before their main event match. A
six man tag of Lenny D, Ruckus, and Zeus McFly vs. Chris Mason, Red Money, & Lil
Chicho (White Trash vs. Wiggers, if you will) has been signed for a later show.
Next was Zeus McFly in his second match of the night against "The Real" Scott
Henson (despite what anyone in Rhode Island's XRW will tell you). When they last
met, Henson defeated McFly for the Yard of Honor Title, so McFly was looking to
even the score. He was certainly headed in the right direction when he had
Henson's neck draped over the middle rope and hit a Double Footstomp from the
top onto his head, but Henson managed to fight back, and hit the You Sunk My
Battleship for the victory. Though McFly lost, he was perversely satisfied, as
he finally got to feel what the You Sunk My Battleship feels like. Next was the
semi main event: a rematch for the VCW Canadian Title between Daniel Makabe and
Psychotic Kid, only this time Makabe is holding the belt. It was also a Title
vs. Title match, with Psychotic Kid being the YOH Champion, and wanting to break
the curse of no one being able to defend it successfully. This was a Ladder
Match like their last encounter, but not the same variety: earlier in the night,
Makabe had declaring that he wasn't down with the ladder-climbing bullshit, so
he just wanted a "Ladders Are Encouraged" match with pinfalls and submissions
legal, and his wish was granted. Anyway, this match was ridiculous in its
craziness. Too much stuff to name without developing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Just to name a few, we had Psychotic Kid missing a No-hands Springboard
Laddersault, a Black Tiger Bomb onto a ladder table by PK, a Moonsault onto the
ladder by Makabe, an apron-to-floor 20 Years Old through a ladder table by
Makabe. The finish came when Makabe was setting up for a top-rope 19 Years Old
onto a ladder table, but PK reversed and went for a Dragonsteiner. Makabe
re-reversed and somehow, some way hit the Jericho Spike ON PSYCHOTIC KID through
the ladder table, and you better believe that was it. Just watch the damn match;
words will only do it a disservice. Then the main event, with Chris Mason having
held the belt 363 days, and Lenny D being the only thing between Mason and a
year-long title reign. They started off with some great, innovative matwork, but
both soon realised that this wouldn't be enough to put the other away. They kept
upping the ante, and eventually the action spilled outside. Lenny missed a HUGE
hipbuster off a balcony, and then Mason grazed Lenny with a running no-hands
moonsault off the same balcony. Back in the ring, things were getting heavy.
Mason almost got the win with an amazing 630 Splash, but Lenny kicked out.
Conversely, even a Wildbomb and a Darkness Dust weren't enough to beat Mason.
Lenny even busted out a Moonsault Footstomp, which he dubbed the "363", with one
degree of rotation for every day Mason has held the belt. Near the end, Mason got up the 200+ pound Lenny and PLANTED him with a
Vertebreaker. Everyone, including Lenny, thought he had legitimately broken his
neck. Lenny, however, being the toughest man on the planet, powered through the
pain, and dropped Chris Mason with a Top-rope Darkness Dust at the 16 minute
mark to become the 14th VCW Triple Crown Champion and start his second reign
(his first coming in the summer of 2002). Mason's reign ends at 363 days with 7
successful title defenses. Not too shabby. On the whole, this was definitely a
Show of the Year contender. Not a bad thing on the card.
- If the LWO people are available to come up, we hope to host the 2004 V-1 Tag
Climax to crown the first Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champions next Sunday
(October 3).

- So VCW made trip #2 to LWO in Washington. Seeing as we're still without a
ring, we gotta feed the need somewhere. Only three folks went down this time:
Scott Henson, Daniel Makabe, and Zeus McFly. Makabe finally got around to having
his first successful Canadian Title defense, defeating Zeus McFly. Zeus then
defended his recently won LWO Cruiserweight Title in a unification match with
LWO Heavyweight Champion, Mista Blaq. Zeus eventually went down to a SICK
Blaqout, making Blaq, I believe, the sole singles champion in LWO. The main
event was "Canadian Idol" Scott Henson (wearing his official Canadian Idol pin)
taking on one half of 2 Sexy Beasts, Mo' Kwefe. In what many described as one of
the best matches to take place in an LWO ring, Kwefe defeated Henson with a top
rope Blockbuster. Kwefe will also go on record as the only person, probably
ever, to military press Scott Henson. After the match, Pooder ran in and 2SB
went for their Crucifix Powerbomb/Legdrop finisher. Henson avoided it, and went
on a CRITICAL! rampage, lariating Mo" Kwefe, Pooder, the ref, Zeus McFly,
Throttle, and Rien Dunn.
- Hopefully the ring situation gets resolved soon, because we've got big plans.
Our next card is headlined by Lenny D claiming his #1 Contenders spot for the
Triple Crown after 9 months and challenging Chris Mason, as well as the Ladder
REMATCH between Daniel Makabe and Psychotic Kid for the Canadian Title. Also on
the horizon, we've got the 2004 V-1 Tag Climax, to determine the first Pacific
Northwest Tag Team Champions, featuring teams from VCW, LWO, and OCW. And also,
if possible, we've hoping to do a Deathmatch Tournament on Halloween. If not
Halloween, then at least some time around there.

- Congratulations to Zeus McFly, who travelled down to LWO by himself this past
Sunday, and in fact defeated Mayhem to win the LWO Cruiserweight Title. McFly
picked up the win with the Head-in-the-pants Tombstone, which is just as gay as
it sounds. And Zeus doesn't wear underwear.
<9/1/04 @ 3:19 AM PST>
- So VCW made the trek down to Washington to do a joint show with LWO. It was a
ton of fun, and it was great to meet more of the LWO roster. The 5 gents
representing VCW were Scott Henson, Daniel Makabe, Zeus McFly, Jimmy McGimmick, and Mercury. You
can check out all the matches in the Results section.
- We are ringless right now, but hopefully we'll return to Casa del Troll or
some other location in the next week or two.
