- Another music video? Preposterous! But true! The music video highlighting the 4 Way match from this past Monday's show (Psychotic Kid vs. Scott Henson vs. Zeus McFly vs. Daniel Makabe) is up in the Mutlimedia Section.
- Can you believe it's been a year since Scramble Madness?

- New music video up in the Multimedia section: VCW Summer Action Series 2003 Volume 3. It spotlights our 8/23/03 and 8/28/03 shows, as well as covers any clips from 4/19/03 to 7/2/03 that the first two volumes missed. Enjoy!
- Our next show will likely be next Saturday (June 5th). We're not having one this Saturday due to the fact that Troll's new fed is running their first show that day. However, Scott Henson, Daniel Makabe, Zeus McFly, and Psychotic Kid will be on it, so we'll have results from their matches on the site.

- We rocked a show this afternoon, starting off with the pleasant surprise of "The Loose Cannon" Kenny Lush showing up and participating in an Exhibition Tag Match with Scott Henson, Ruckus, and Zeus McFly. He also participated in an 11-man Contenders Battle Royal, where he got 6 of the 10 submissions, last beating Scott Henson with a Triangle Choke. The third last man in was Jimmy McGimmick, who submitted to a Kurt Angle-esque Ankle Lock by Scott Henson. Rumor has it that McGimmick wept profusely after losing. Props to Drake Dredd for getting the other 3 submissions in the match, too. The first official match of the night, Scott Idol vs. Jimmy Dean, ended in an unfortunate incident, when Dean was going for a top-rope elbow drop, and landed awkwardly, dislocating his shoulder. Several other ex-VBW members took him to the hospital, which significantly cut down the card, as several of them were booked. Regardless, we wish Jimmy the best and hope for a speedy recovery. Next was Johnny K taking on Zeus McFly in a rematch from last show. McFly dominated the match, but when he went for a slingshot somersault onto an open chair that Johnny was sitting on, Johnny moved and was able to score the quick pin to get his first VCW win. Next was another rematch, only this was from July 21, 2002. Jimmy McGimmick and Jason Drake. These two haven't met in the ring since the aforementioned date, and Drake decided it was finally time to get revenge on McGimmick for breaking his collarbone on that fateful day. Drake kicked out of the Gimmick Bomb (a first?), and was able to hit the Pedigree and exact his revenge. These two are now 1-1 lifetime against each other. The main event was a 4 Way Elimination between Canadian Champion Psychotic Kid, Daniel Makabe, Zeus McFly, and Scott Henson. If any of the 3 non-champions won, they would get a Canadian Title shot, and if PK won, he would get first crack at Chris Mason's VCW Triple Crown when he comes back (which we're told will be in about two weeks). This match had some killer spots, including Makabe hitting the Senton off the ringpost, a Henson/Makabe Doomsday Busaiku Knee, and a Henson/PK Demolition Swanton, which absolutely murdered Makabe. Henson was the first eliminated when Psychotic Kid caught his CRITICAL and slapped on the Crucifix Crossface for the tapout. Next was Makabe reversing a Cradle Tombstone attempt by Psychotic Kid into the 19 Years Old, eliminating the Canadian Champion. Shortly after, Zeus McFly had Makabe in the ropes, and PK, already eliminated, kicked Makabe in the head, allowing McFly to roll him up and get the win and a Canadian Title shot next show. It wouldn't be surprising to see a Makabe/PK match after that, as there is obviously some animosity between the two.

- More Multimedia fun. We've reorganized the Multimedia Section. We now have separate sections for Music Videos, Single Wrestler Music Videos, Full Matches, Full Shows, and Other. All the videos in the Single Wrestler Music Videos section are new to this site. We have two videos that Yakuza J and Lenny D made of themselves, and the first 3 of Tiger J's Best of VCW Series (Chris Mason, Yakuza J, and Lenny D). Next up is Daniel Makabe, and then Scott Henson.
- Our next show will either be Saturday, May 22 or Monday, May 24. Stay tuned.

- As promised, two new full matches from this past Saturday (with commentary) are now up in the Multimedia Section. Psychotic Kid vs. Lenny D for the Canadian Title, and Scott Henson vs. Daniel Makabe 2-of-3 Falls. Check 'em out. If you don't like these, you hate wrestling.

- Well, we had quite possibly our biggest show ever this past Saturday, May 8th. With a USA Pro-esque 10 matches in all, I could probably do a write-up the length of which would make your head spin. However, since most of the people reading this were at the show anyway, I'm going to try to keep this as short and sweet as possible. So...
We kicked off with a 13-Man(!) Contenders Rules Battle Royal. Last time's winner, Jimmy McGimmick, was sextuple-teamed and eventually tapped to Zeus McFly's jujigatame (with about 3 other submissions on him at the same time). After Scott Henson tapped Red Money to a Shoulder Hold to leave only himself and Ryan Rage in the match, he looked pretty damn tired, which allowed underdog Ryan Rage to sink in a Rear Naked choke for the victory and a HUGE pop from the crowd. Scott Henson then officially opened the show and introduced his hired mercenary from Outer Mongolia, Red Wolf, to fight Daniel Makabe, just like he did last year. However, Red Wolf, angry at Henson for only buying him a one-way plane ticket last year, turned on Henson, and we had an impromptu Red Wolf vs. Scott Henson. Red Wolf was dastardly, even going as far as to employ the MONGOLIAN FINGER TRAPS to tie Henson up in the ropes. Henson was able to break free eventually, and nailed two CRITICAL!s on Wolf for the victory. Next was Lenny D in a warm-up match against OCW superstar Ryan Rage. Lenny D took the duke in a short match with a Diving Headbutt to the back. Since Psychotic Kid was scheduled to face Ruckus before facing Lenny, Lenny felt it only fair to also have a match before his match with PK. Next, Zeus McFly took on Pistol Pete Cruz, who was returning from an absence of several months. Zeus looked to be in strong form, and got the win in just over 7 minutes with a beautiful Double-Jump Moonsault. Match 5 was Psychotic Kid taking on Ruckus for Kid's VCW Canadian Title. If PK won, he agreed to defend the title again against Lenny D, and if he lost, he would still wrestle Lenny, but obviously not for the title. Word on the street is that Ruckus has quit smoking and his cardio is slowly but surely improving, and it showed in this match. The Ruck hit a MEAN Koppo Kick to the corner on PK, leaving a nasty mark around his eye. PK battled back, though, and hit a KILLER Tiger Suplex and a Frog Splash to get his V2 defense of the Canadian. Could he get V3 in the same day? We'll see. The next match was a "Young Lions 4 Way" spotlighting the VCW Young Lions Division with Red Money vs. Mercury vs. Lil Chicho vs. "The Dice" Nick Price (making his debut for VCW). Mercury injured his ankle attempting the Quicksilver (Phoenix Splash), thus hurting his chances of winning. The end came when Red Money hit the Money in the Bank on Lil Chicho, and Mercury hit Mercury Falls on Nick Price. Nick Price actually landed on Lil Chicho and scored the surprise pinfall, while Red Money was distracted with Mercury. So Nick Price is 1-0 in VCW. Coach Lenny D, the trainer of the VCW Young Lions Dojo, was watching at ringside the entire match, offering tips to the combatants. After the match, Lenny named Red Money the MVP of the match, and offered to have a match against him at some point in the future. Lenny said that if Money is able to win, he will gain full entry into the VCW, out of the Young Lions Division. Jimmy McGimmick was up next, taking on the debuting Johnny K. Johnny has made himself known on the VCW Message Board for quite some time, and finally made an appearance at a show. He proclaimed himself the "Gimmick Killer" and aimed to make a name for himself at Jimmy's expense. Jimmy had none of that, however, and got the win with a Gimmick Bomb (Torture Rack into Inverted Powerbomb) into a Rear Naked Choke. Next were the first two falls of Scott Henson vs. Daniel Makabe, one of the longest feuds in VCW history. The first fall was Pinfalls Only, and the second fall was Submissions Only. Should a third fall be needed, it was to take place after Lenny D vs. Psychotic Kid, and would be a Street Fight (No Countout, No DQ, Weapons Available). Both men were confident it would only go two falls, and that the Street Fight wouldn't be necessary. They agreed for the first fall to be a "Gentleman's Sporting Exhibition", keeping it clean and amateur-style, just going for pins and not trying to hurt each other. They exchanged pinning combinations for 6 minutes or so, until Henson "broke the code", so to speak, and nailed Makabe with a Roaring Elbow and quick rollup to win the first fall. The second fall took on a different mood, as Makabe was angry with Henson's actions, and thus many more strikes and power moves were exchanged. Makabe hit a WICKED German Suplex on Henson, but somehow Henson was able to shake it off and hit a big Lariat. Henson tried to apply the Crippler Crossface Chickenwing that got him the win in their 4/29/03 match, but Makabe reversed it into the Makabe Lock for the victory. At one fall apiece, a third fall was indeed needed. But not just yet. First we had Zeus McFly vs. Johnny K, both having their second matches of the night. Zeus was scheduled to take on Mercury and Nick Price in a Handicap Match, but Mercury was unable to compete with his hurt ankle. Johnny K stepped up, still trying to make his impression on VCW, but Zeus was on a roll and hit the Inward Death (Springboard Inward Somersault Senton) for his second win of the night. The originally scheduled main event, Lenny D vs. Psychotic Kid, was up next, but of course ended up being the semi-main, due the the upcoming third fall of Henson/Makabe. Anyway, since PK retained the Canadian Title against Ruckus, this is indeed a title match, and PK would have to get through Lenny to remain champion at the end of the day. These two wasted no time, and started off by almost recreating their finish from their last encounted (1/25/04), but with some new reversals (they learned!). These two wrestled like they had absolutely zero will to live. The amount of neck trauma that both suffered is unfathomable. The end came after a struggle on the top rope, which resulted in a SICK Top-rope Reverse Rana by Psychotic Kid, followed immediately by an equally insane Cradle Tombstone. PK collapsed on top of Lenny D for the victory and his V3 defense. So it's main event time. While Scott Henson was making his entrance, Makabe attacked him from behind with a chair. It should be noted that both men came prepared in their street fight gear: Henson in his jeans with kneepads overtop, and Makabe in his old school coveralls. This match was unlikely anything these two have ever done before. I could go into great detail, but the soon-to-be-posted video will cover most of that. Suffice it to say, there was death, there was bleeding, there were chairs, there were light tubes, and there was the sickest You Sunk My Battleship in the history of the universe. Your winner: Scott Henson. A fantastic end to a fantastic show. Hopefully we'll be running a little more frequently now, so stay tuned.
- Kudos to Dallas Kline for reffing most of the matches; once his injured ankle is healed, we hope to see him back wrestling instead of reffing. And thanks to Edmonton's own Simon "Spyke" Speichert for refereeing the main event. *does Mill Woods hand sign*
- Yakuza J is back from New York this Tuesday, but is leaving again for Hong Kong this Saturday for two weeks, so he will probably make his in-ring return when he gets back from Hong Kong. Chris Mason is also expected back at the end of May, so hopefully these two returns will coincide, and we can have the double main event of Lenny D vs. Yakuza J and Chris Mason vs. Psychotic Kid.

<5/5/04 @ 2:28 AM PST>

- Holy crap, we have an event. And a big one too. It was supposed to be our 2 Year Anniversary at the Wrestleplex, but there currently is no Wrestleplex, so on Saturday, May 8, at 1:30 p.m., we present VCW's 2 Year Anniversary of Pretending to Be Professional. It will be in the ASPW pro ring, as always, but it will be held in The Troll's backyard! Should be funky. Not much of the card is scheduled thus far, so we'll have to wait and see what happens on Saturday.
- The 2002 VCW Awards are now up in the Mad VCW Info section. Check them out. There's tons of multimedia links to some of the nominees, including videos of all the Best Spot and Funniest/Best Moment nominees. Enjoy.
