- Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwazy Kwanzaa, whatever.
Anyway, the absence of Lenny D drastically affected the booking of yesterday's
card. So much, in fact, that the show was entitled "Lenny D Is a Tremendous
Faggot." Daniel Makabe was also not there, but the reason is question. Some say
he didn't show out of spite for Lenny D not showing; some say he had a family
function to attend; and some say he injured his neck while performing autoerotic
asphyxiation. Red Money and Mercury were also absent due to illness, and no one
knows where the hell Ruckus was. So, even with a limited roster, we still had
quite a fun show. Two tags and a UWFv (maybe the best UWFv we've done, too).
Check it all out in the Results section. Hopefully Lenny D will be back
tomorrow, for the planned MVC vs. BTM 2-of-3 Falls tag match.

- Part 2 of Double-shot 1 is off, due to injuries and absences, but the second
one looks to be on for sure. The Scramble, which was scheduled to take place on
the 23rd, will now take place on the 29th, where we didn't have anything booked
yet anyway, so it works out okay. The Best of the Rest 4 tournament concluded at
our show on the 22nd. Chris Mason defeated Zeus McFly due to ref stoppage via
blood loss, after McFly bled all over the place and poured whiskey on himself
(McFly screaming, "Where's my hooch?!" still haunts my dreams). Next up was a
battle between tag partners and bed-sharers, Scott Henson and Lenny D. They
tried to weasel their way out of facing each other, but they already played that
card at Death Hell, so they had to go through with it this time. They both
started out pretty tentative, not wanting to hurt each other, but then got into
it. Henson ended up hitting a Tiger Suplex '85 right on Lenny's neck, which
you'll remember he injured badly against Chris Mason when he won the Triple
Crown. Lenny immediately got out of the ring, seemingly in a great deal of pain,
even getting the EMT's to check him out. A forfeit was a foregone conclusion at
this point, but when Lenny got in the ring for the referee's decision, he
low-blowed Henson, and the match was still on. It came down to an insane war of
Lariats between the two, with Henson hitting one big one for the win. Henson met
Chris Mason in the finals, with Henson desperate to finally win a Best of the
Rest and Mason desperately wanting to win the Canadian Title shot, for a chance
to get some gold back around his waist. These two went all out, reaching deep
into their movesets, and even each other's movesets. After taking a ton of
punishment, and looking like he had exhausted all his options, Mason remembered
what it took for Bromine to put Henson away in the very first Best of the Rest:
a chokeslam. So after blocking a CRITICAL! attempt and hitting Henson with one
of his own Roaring Elbows, Mason planted Henson in the middle of the ring with a
chokeslam, and just like it did three years ago, it got the job done here. Mason
is tentatively scheduled to receive his Canadian Title shot on January 23.
Yakuza J also made his VCW return, teaming with now full-time partner Daniel
Makabe, as the Bubble Tea Mafia. Early into their match against Ruckus &
Psychotic Kid, Makabe hit a Curb Stomp on Ruckus that nastily fucked up his jaw.
Zeus McFly stepped in to replace his tag partner, but eventually fell to a
Northern Lights Bomb by Yakuza J.

- The curse continues. Not the "not having shows" curse. That one's over. But
the "inability to have an 8-Man tournament in one night" curse is still going
strong. Due to people being sick, tired, lots of people leaving, and having way
too many matches already, we were only able to complete the first round of Best
of the Rest 4. The semifinals and finals will take place next show. We had ropes
this time, two to be exact. And they weren't that tight. Still, an improvement
over last time. If this trend continues, we'll have usable ropes by the next
show or two. Lots of good stuff on this show, with Chris Mason, Zeus McFly,
Scott Henson, and Lenny D advancing in the tournament, giving up Mason vs. Zeus
and Scott vs. Lenny in the semis. Lenny retained his Triple Crown Title against
Red Money in their First Round 2-of-3 Falls match, but lost the YOH Title. Lil
Chicho made his return, running in on Jacob Myles, who had just beaten Nick
Price. This started an impromptu match which lasted all of 5 seconds when Chicho
planted Myles with the Canadian Destroyer and pinned him. Chicho also had an
excellent match with Psychotic Kid later in the night. Chris Mason badly jammed
his thumb against Jimmy McGimmick in the main event, but hopefully he'll be good
to go for the rest of the tournament.
- We have an assload of wrestling coming up. 4 shows in 8 days, to be exact, in
the form of two double shots. We will be wrestling the 22nd and 23rd, and then
the 28th and 29th.

- VCW typically doesn't have much luck in the season of Autumn. We've had 4
shows EVER in the month of October (2 shows before this year), 7 shows ever in
November, and there always seems to be a month or so in the fall where we don't
wrestle at all. Well, we've had our prerequisite month off, and we're BACK! At
the oringinal Wrestleplex! We moved the ring back and set it up, and we were
good to go. We started back up with a very fun show, with the appropriate title
"Fall Fun-a-bration." We were minus ropes, but hopefully that will be remedied
this Saturday, for Best of the Rest 4.

- The Message Board is back at its old address:
http://www.bluethundervideo.com/vcw/forum. So get your ass over there and
register.
- If all goes well, we'll actually be back at the ASW Wrestleplex Version 1(!)
by next weekend. Hopefully nothing fucks this up, because that really was the
best location we've ever had. If we can indeed get in there, we'll go ahead with
all the booking currently in the Events section. If not, we'll improvise.
