- We all got together this past Saturday to do Best of the Best 4. It was a great day weather-wise, and everybody showed up. The only problem was that we couldn't set the ring up where we wanted to and got totally FUCKED. Instead, a few of us went around Surrey and Burnaby filming every ring location that VCW has been in, presumably for some sort of upcoming DVD. Anyway, this has made it painfully obvious that we need to find an indoor location for the ring. Our goal is to have the ring indoors by the weekend of December 11. Providing we can do that, we've got a bunch of events booked or semi-booked from there right through January. It's not like booking in advance has EVER worked for us before, but hey, we're stupidly optimistic.

- The Message Board is fucked up at the moment, so check here for any updates. Hopefully a new Message Board will be up in a couple days, as well as possibly a www.vcw.com domain. For now, use the old message board at http://darksidebsx.proboards2.com.
- If we can find a place to put the ring, Best of the Rest 4 will happen this Saturday.
- More new multimedia is up, and the "guest video" craze continues unabated. We have a music video of Corporate Clash (11/13/04) done by Mike Maverick, and a video of just Chris Mason vs. Psychotic Kid from that show done by Spitfire.

- VCW will present its 4th annual Best of the Rest tournament this Saturday, November 20. In keeping with tradition, it will again involve the Canadian Title. Like last year, the winner will receive a Canadian Title shot; however, this year Canadian Champion Daniel Makabe is competing in the tournament, and if he wins, he will NEVER have to defend the Canadian Title again, and will hold it until he's dead. The eight men participating in the tournament are: Canadian Champion Daniel Makabe, Triple Crown Champion Lenny D, Scott Henson, Chris Mason, Psychotic Kid, Zeus McFly, Ruckus, and Red Money. Check the Events section for the brackets.
- We appear to have a new guest music video maker, a man going by the name of Cruiserfan. His first video covers a wide range of VCW work. The video is up in the Multimedia section.
- Expect three new, commentated full matches up this Wednesday. What matches? Well, you'll have to wait and see.

- The weather was nice enough to hold out for us again. I guess we're being repaid for all the rain in June and October. Anyway, we had a nice little show today, capped off by the third place match in the King of the Deathmatch tournament, which pretty much finishes off our deathmatch shenanigans for the time being. Chris Mason and Psychotic went CRAZY in their match, with far too much cool stuff to name, but to give you a taste, there was a top-to-floor 450 through a table, a Top-rope SSP onto light tubes, two 630's, a Backdrop Driver on the ground, and a Top-rope Black Tiger Bomb through a light tube log cabin. This is one of those rare matches that will be nominated for Spotfest of the Year AND Match of the Year.

- We actually managed to get a show off on Sunday, and finish off the Death Hell tournament. Not exactly the way we wanted to, but at least we got it done. The weather was nice enough to hold out for the two matches we had. We opened the show with Big Al & Jacob Myles teaming up against Mercury and "Heartbreak Kid" Scott Henson, doing an homage to the favourite wrestler of Pistol Pete Cruz, who was in attendance. Henson appeared to be knocked out from an Owen Hart-esque enzuigiri by Jacob Myles, who then hit Ryan Briggs in the chest with the cameraman's camera, causing Briggs to have a heart attack. With all this going on, Henson was able to regain consciousness, tune up the band, and hit the Superkick for the victory. That left up with deathmatch business to deal with. Even though he won his first round match against Juggalo, Henson had taken far too much punishment to continue in the tournament. Lenny D, who also won his first round match, had quite a bad neck injury going into that match as you all know, and the match only served to re-aggravate it. So as far as first round winners, that only left Daniel Makabe and Zeus McFly. We looked into using people who lost in the first round as replacements, but that didn't work either: Chris Mason has a hurt knee and ankle, Psychotic Kid is on the back end of pneumonia, Jimmy McGimmick has a torn AC joint, and Juggalo is, from all reports, dead. So that leaves ONLY Daniel Makabe and Zeus McFly. Thus, their match became the finals. The official stipulation for the match was a
100 Light Tubes, Barbed Wire Light Tube Board, Light Tube Board, Light Tube, Light Tube, Light Tube, and Barbed Wire Brick Deathmatch. As one can expect from the stipulation, these two (stripped down to their underpants, mind you) killed each other a whole bunch, including numerous light tube shots (obviously), table spots, and even a brawl through an abandoned house. In the end, McFly faked a lilght tube shot, and beat Makabe with the same move he used to win his first round match, a small package. Zeus McFly is your VCW King of the Deathmatch. Both Makabe and McFly ended up going to the hospital after the show, due to a Necro Butcher-esque chunk out of Makabe's leg, and a long, deep laceration on McFly's arm. Both are doing okay, so not to worry.
- Hi~Ki has made a video of Death Hell Stage One that is now up in the multimedia section. Our next video will either be Death Hell Stage Two or the entire deathmatch tournament.

<11/1/04 @ 11:12 PM PST>

- We got lucky with the weather and had "Death Hell" on Halloween. Lots of folks showed up, including two new wrestlers who participated in the 10 man tag, Johnny Testarossa and Drew Sarian. Also, Lestat and Johnny K made their VCW returns and took each other on in what ended up being the main event. We only ended up getting the first round of the Deathmatch Tournament done. Due to a no-show by Ruckus, Jimmy McGimmick vs. Zeus McFly became a first round match, which McFly won with a small package. In addition, Juggalo returned to VCW after more than a year to take on "Violent S" Scott Henson (mocking Juggalo's ICP love), where Henson beat the shit out of him for 6 minutes. The other two opening round matches were both title matches, with Daniel Makabe retaining the Canadian Title against Chris Mason in an insane match, and Lenny D retaining the Triple Crown in an equally crazy match. Daniel Makabe was scheduled to take on Zeus McFly in the semifinals, but minutes into the match, Makabe blew out his knee (again), leaving him unable to continue. Scott Henson and Lenny D refused to fight each other in the semifinals, instead playing a game of solitaire (yes, solitaire) to see who would advance, with Lenny winning. But even the finals didn't happen, due in part to the rapidly approaching darkness (nighttime, not a black guy), and the fact that Lenny D's neck is still in very bad shape, stemming from the Vertebreaker he took on 9/26/04 from Chris Mason. So depending on people's injuries, we may complete the tournament next week, or today may just end up being "the day we did some deathmatches." We should know in the next few days.
