- The short show streak continues, although this past week we had three matches as opposed to the usual one or two. Also, this show was the most eventful of the past few weeks, as the main event for next week's supershow (Sunday, Oct. 2) was made official: Ruckus defending the VCW Triple Crown against Daniel Makabe in the first ever VCW Bullrope Match. Also, after we thought Makabe had left for the day, he ran in and cost Ruckus's tag partner, Big Al, his match. It's just 4 days until the Supershow, so GET PUMPED.

- Not a ton of updates lately, but when you've done 7 matches in your last 4 shows, you can afford to miss a week here and there. To recap the happenings from said matches: Ruckus and Daniel Makabe's feud is heating up, with the climax likely being at the supershow in two weeks, Scott Henson continues to remember how to win, and Big Al and Nick Price have been in a lot of matches together.
- Additionally, a good chunk of VCW travelled to Ohio for HWF's final(?) show, The Supercard of the Backyard. It was one of the most stacked cards ever, with half the matches involving VCW members (5/8 if you count Kingpin). Big Al took on "Fake Canadian" Jason Styles, and post-match, all the *real* Canadians present (VCW and Steve Shilson) laid some serious punishment on Styles. Yakuza J took on LK2000 in an excellent, near-30-minute match. Daniel Makabe and Myke Quest met each other in the opener with a great, hard-hitting match. Kingpin wrestled, and defeated, Drew Cordeiro in a match of epic and ridiculous proportions. And Scott Henson and Matt Schalk settled their differences, so to speak, in one crazy spectacle of an encounter. Everyone had a fantastic time, be it wrestling at Travis's on the Saturday, the BBQ at Jake's on the Sunday, sleeping at Justin's at night, hanging out at Rickey's on the Sunday night. Perhaps the most important thing to come from the entire weekend was the "HEY!", an RKO delivered to an unsuspecting victim. Or it's more difficult cousin, the "OO-OOH YEAH!", a Twist of Fate of the same style.
