- Hmm, 11:00 on November 11th. Seems like I should be REMEMBERING something... oh yeah, to make a VCW update. Anyway, it's getting harder and harder to call it the Triple Crown, but we will continue to do so AT ALL COSTS. The big news coming out of VCW's trip to BXCW two weeks ago was Special K defeating Cole Crazy in the main event of Day 2. The reason this is such big news is because not only did Special K put up his four belts, Cole Crazy put his up too, the BXCW Quadruple Crown (BXCW World Title, BXCW Interim World Title, BXCW Inter-City Title, LWO World Title). So Special K walks out of Washington a Great Sasuke-esque 8 belt champion (not even accounting for the fact that one of the belts represents 4 east coast world titles). We also continued the semi-annual tradition of the Round Robin for Nothing on October 11, which was won by Daniel Makabe who was surprised to win it outright, as the last match of Special K vs. Yakuza J would have given the winner 2 points and a tie with Makabe; however, they quickly brawled to a double countout, giving each 1 point and Makabe the win. He was also surprised to be presented a box for winning the round robin, and then less surprised when it was revealed that the box contained... nothing. Speaking of Special K and Yakuza J, their feud has been building since their first match at our current ring location back in September, and it came to a head in a Triple Crown match on November 8. Yakuza was able to control much of the match, but when push came to shove at the end, Special K pulled it out and hit a KILLER Darkness Buster on Yakuza J to retain all his belts. Also on the show, Canadian Champion Red Money returned, who has not been seen since Canada Day. He faced Senor Cerveza, his scheduled opponent from Canada before Drew Sarian returned from the dead, plus a good case could be made for Cerveza deserving the title shot on the merits of winning Survival of the Illest. And the trend continued of the SOTI winner winning the Canadian Title the same year they won SOTI, as Cerveza defeated Red Money by making him pass out to a half crab, giving Cerveza his first title in VCW. Also on that card (which was the 300th Show Festival finale) was an excellent Daniel Makabe vs. Scott Henson, with Makabe getting the win and showing he has Henson's number in 2008.
