- THANK. FUCKING. CHRIST. We're back. 7 months, but we're back. VCW shows will
resume this Sunday, July 22. It looks like we'll have ring access Thursday
evenings and Sunday afternoons. So expect a show every Sunday, along with the
occasional Thursday show. So, what do we have to report since last update? Not
nearly enough, considering it's been over two months, but that said, VCW members
haven't been COMPLETELY inactive. Yakuza J and Allan Creasy travelled to
Mid-West Fest 2007 in Tennessee on June 9 & 10, where Yakuza had two successful
Triple Crown defenses against Matt Korbaine and Dangerous Dave Devereaux (though
it looked like he almost lost it Dave after a double pin). Creasy defeated Zayne
& Lee Andrews in a handicap match, and lost to Tommy Flambeau the next day.
Also, VCW has travelled back to BXCW twice since the first time in May. There's
a fair bit to cover on those two trips (June 24 and July 14/15), but it's all
pretty self-explanatory in the Results section. Jackson Rucker unfortunately
broke his foot in the main event on July 14 against Daniel Makabe and will be
out for a while. The next day, Makabe retained the Canadian Title while winning
the WWE 24/7 OnDemand Title from Kingpin. On July 14, Yakuza J retained the
Triple Crown against Seth Cage in a match originally scheduled for VCW vs. The
World 4, so it's nice that it got to happen. And despite it not being sanctioned
by VCW, Allan Creasy is treating the Duke of the Hill trophy as a title and is
defending it. He put it up against Special K (who put up his beard) in a High
Stakes 3 Way Dogfight also including Ruckus... sort of. Daniel Makabe came out
dressed as Ruckus, and put up the name "Ruckus" as his part of the bargain. He
(and Creasy) lost to Special K, so despite the obvious shenanigans, the ruling
may stand, and the REAL Ruckus may now be the man without a name (El Hombre Sin
Nombre, if you will). After losing the Duke of the Hill trophy to Special K in
the Dogfight, Allan Creasy almost immediately won it back, as Special K was not
informed it was a 24/7 title. After winning it back, Creasy declared that it was
NOT a 24/7 title anymore. Again, it's not even a sanctioned title. Creasy is
just a jerk. We could go into detail on more results, but who has the time these
days? Read the results. But quickly, let's look at some important upcoming
events:
-- Sunday, July 22: first show back
-- Sunday, July 29: The Main Event of 2006 (the scheduled 12/30/06 card that
never happened)
-- Sunday, August 5: 8th Annual (month after) Canada Day Massacre
-- August 25 to September 1: BYEverything (BYG in PA, BYE in MA, BYF in RI)
