- Hey, count yourself lucky. It's two updates in a month for the first time in a
while. On June 10, CJ Williams and Dokta Kron had their first singles match,
which in fact stemmed back to the day they doth debuted in VCW, when CJ ran in
on Kron's match against Zeus McFly. CJ was able to continue his undefeated
streak in VCW, as Kron's anger got the better of him and he was DQ'ed for using
a chain. Nick Price got his 7th defense of the Canadian Title against Zeus
McFly, using the move that has become his premiere move as of late, the Busaiku
Knee, which he absolutely killed McFly with. Daniel Makabe showed his tenacity
in defeating Allan Creasy even after he received a mild concussion mid-match. He
carried on through the pain and dizziness and got the win by reversing Creasy's
Fraser Valley Driver into a Rolling Reverse Cradle. In the main event, Scott
Henson and Yakuza J took on Red Money, Drew Sarian, and Special K in a 2-on-3
Handicap Match, with all kinds of crazies, including numerous Earthquake spots,
a 2-on-3 Lariat, people being yellow-carded for showboating, and the ref joining
ECW. On June 17, Nick Price racked up a non-title victory over Daniel Makabe and Zeus McFly in a 3 Way, pinning Makabe with a
Rolling Crucifix Pin after the Border City Stretch wouldn't get it done. Makabe
claims this never would have happened in a singles match, and Price aims to
prove him wrong in the near future. Zeus McFly had more luck in his second match
of the night, as he got the win over Red Money in an... unorthodox match. Drew
Sarian, decked out in full hockey equipment as "Screamin' Norman Sarian", took
on Ruckus. Ruckus, seeing that his opponent was well protected, had no qualms
hitting him full force with chairs, tables, cars, and his own head. Sarian got
the win by complete fluke as he fell onto Ruckus's groin with a trash can on his
head, which was enough to get the three count. In the main event, Chicho
returned from a 5 month absence to take on Special K in a battle of the
singlets. Chicho showed very little ring rust for the amount of time he had been
away and got the win with his Sliced Panini #2, transitioned directly into a
Dragon Clutch. In a rare mid-week double shot on June 21 and 22, Red Money
changed his name and demeanor, now referring to himself as Blood Money and
hailing from Compton. His new persona seemed to be quite successful, as he got a
decisive win over Drew Sarian with a Leg Capture Backflip into an Angels Wings.
CJ Williams continued refusing to lose, as he squeaked out a win over Ruckus
with a Small Package, after it looked lilke Ruckus had things well in hand.
Yakuza J had an interesting victory over Zeus McFly, as Yakuza decided to hit a
series of repeated Northern Lights Bombs with no end in sight, forcing McFly to
actually tap out WHILE BEING NLB'ed, as it didn't seem as if Yakuza wanted to go
for a pin. Nick Price got his V8 defense of the Canadian Title in a 3 Way
Dogfight against Special K and Blood Money in rather short order, winning the
first two falls he was involved in. This places Price only 4 defenses away from
tying the single-reign defense record held by Daniel Makabe. Price is cranking
out defenses as quickly, or quicker, than any champion ever, so if he can hold
onto the belt, he can probably get 12 defenses in a fraction of the time it took
Makabe.
- Just one more mid-week double shot is all that separates us from the 7th
Annual (Day After) Canada Day Massacre. On paper, it may well be VCW's strongest
card ever. Hopefully it delivers as much as it looks like it should. Shortly
after that, Scott Henson, Yakuza J, and Nick Price are off to invade the east
coast and beat up people with silly accents.

- Few shows to report on, but certainly not as many as last time, and nothing
earth-shattering in the way of news. On May 14th, Mother's Day, we were treated
to a a very special guest, Kingpin's mother, Mommapin. She delivered a very
special Mother's Day message to the boys there and on the internet. On the
wrestling side of things, CJ Williams continued his undefeated streak in a 3 Way
with Zeus McFly and Dokta Kron, and Nick Price got his V5 defense of the
Canadian in a very good match against Special K. On the weekend of May 20 and
21, Dangerous Dave Devereaux came to us from AWF in St. Louis, Missouri. On the
20th, he teamed with Mercury, as the BYWL Moderators took on Scott Henson and
Yakuza J, the BYWL Administrators. The stipulation for the match was that if
Dave and Mercury won, they would become BYWL Admins for one week, allowing them
to wreak havoc with the runnings of the board. If they lost, they would be
banned for one week. After a sprint of a tag match featuring all sorts of
craziness, Scott Henson got some revenge on Mercury for 4/22/06, as he whacked
him with a piece of table, allowing Yakuza J to pin him with a German Suplex,
resulting in a one week BYWL ban for Mercury and Dangerous Dave. Also on
Saturday's show was a 3 Way tag match with the Fabulous Newton Boys taking on
the teams of Kingpin & Special K and Daniel Makabe & Nick Price. The Newton Boys
got it done after a creative Doomsday headbutt on Nick Price, with Allan Creasy
scoring the pin on the Canadian Champion. On the 21st, Kingpin, deprived of his
scheduled match against CJ Williams and J-Nox, went on a tirade against
juggalos, prompting a female juggalo fan, The Juggalette, to challenge Kingpin
(350 pounds her senior) to a boxing match. Juggalette won, although it should be
noted that Kingpin had one, and then both, hands tied behind his back. Rotten
Rick Randall made his VCW return after moving to Alberta last year, taking on
his nemesis, Zeus McFly, in possibly the most garbagey match in VCW history.
There was stuff everywhere, mainly of the chair and table variety. The most
insane spot of the match, and maybe the year, was a suplex by Randall on McFly
onto a TROPHY sitting vertically on the floor. By all rights, McFly should have
been impaled. However, he came back and got the victory with a Fisherman Buster.
Fresh off his Canadian Title shot the previous week, Special K was up for a
Triple Crown shot against Scott Henson. Another impressive showing by Special K,
but Henson got his V7 defense with the CRITICAL! AWF's Dangerous Dave was in
singles competition on the Sunday, taking on Daniel Makabe and defending his AWF
Anarchy Title under AWF Anarchy Title rules, meaning a 20 minute time limit.
Makabe probably wishes it was a 30 minute time limit, as he had a variation of
the Makabe Lock on Dave as the 20 minute time limit expired and Dave retained
his title. Yakuza J took on Nick Price in the Canadian Title match and main
event, the one year anniversary of their first meeting in VCW, which Price won
by countout. Price got the win even more decisively this time, hitting a million
running kicks to the head of a kneeling Yakuza, followed by two Busaiku knees.
May 28 saw the first ever 30 Man Battle Royal in VCW, featuring many VCW
superstars, and many new and old faces, such as V2P favourite Cash Flo Calo,
Tiger Mask V, H.G. Yarder, H.G. Beater, Rugby Thug Trent Baker, Invisible
Chicho, Christian Drake, and some past incarnations of current VCW wrestlers,
like 2002 Daniel Makabe, 2003 Scott
Henson, and even DARKSIDE Makabe, who appeared to have lost some weight. The
winner of it all was Christian Drake who basically did nothing and watched as Daniel
Makabe and Yakuza J (the 2006 versions) eliminated each other to give him the
victory.
